Von 25. bis 29. Mai werden Medienforscher*innen aus der ganzen Welt nach Toronto reisen und sich auf der größten Konferenz für Kommunikationswissenschaften, der Jahreskonferenz der
International Communication Association (ICA), über ihre aktuellen Studien austauschen. Auch einige HBI-Mitarbeiter*innen werden vor Ort ihre Arbeit präsentieren.
Das Thema in diesem Jahr lautet „Reclaiming Authenticity in Communication“. Es soll dazu anregen über „Authentizität“ im öffentlichen Diskurs nachzudenken und darüber zu reflektieren, warum sie dort heutzutage eher eine Variable und keine Konstante mehr ist.
