are taking part in the two-day event "Digital Total" at Universität Hamburg.
Wolfgang Schulz will speak at the panel discussion on the first day of the event, starting at 10:15 a.m., on the topic of the opportunities and risks of digitization for Hamburg as a center of science. Other experts on the panel are:

Gregor Wiedemann will give a lecture, also on the first day of the event and starting at 4:15 p.m., on Computational Communication Science at our institute: "Surveying Digital Media Ecosystems - Computational Communication Science at the Leibniz Institute for Media Research | Hans-Bredow-Institut". The lecture will be held in English.

About the event
The event "Digital Total" is organized and hosted by the House of Computing & Data Science
(HCDS) at Universität Hamburg together with the partners of the scientific platform PIER PLUS
and the Academy of Sciences and Humanities in Hamburg
. The aim of the first day is to present and bundle the topics of Data Science/ AI/ Computation, which are strongly represented in the Hamburg Metropolitan Region. One focus is the dialogue on a joint PIER PLUS field of action "PIER Computing and Data Science". The Hamburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities will also offer an interdisciplinary forum for exchanging ideas on the future of digital transformation in the Hamburg metropolitan region and possible synergies between the cross-institutional initiatives. The second day will focus on the topic of Data Science / AI / Computation at Universität Hamburg. At the same time, it serves as a kickoff and to introduce the Cross-Disciplinary Labs
(CDLs) located at HCDS. In addition to the lectures in Audimax 1 & 2, posters on the various projects will be exhibited in the foyer for the duration of the event and presented in two poster sessions on day 1 and 2.
