Die Herausforderungen für den Journalismus von morgen

Prof. Dr. Wiebke Loosen is a keynote speaker and panelist at the Journalism Summit at MEDIENTAGE MÜNCHEN. The topic of the Summit is "The Future is Now". From 3:45 to 4:45 p.m., she will talk with Peter Kropsch, Christian Nitsche, Judith Wittwer and Sham Jaff about the challenges facing the journalism of tomorrow. Richard Gutjahr will moderate the panel.
About the Topics of the Panel
Journalism is currently confronted with central, forward-looking challenges. These include dealing with technological developments and the use of AI, while at the same time journalism must adapt to the needs of people. For users, it's about being able to better understand complex topics, regaining trust in reporting, and learning about new perspectives. For editorial teams, it's about counteracting the growing distrust of journalistic content with quality journalism. For society, it is a matter of repressing growing violence and aggression against journalists and media professionals. And for the future, it is about preserving the value of journalism with transparency and detailed fact checking.
About the Media Days
MEDIENTAGE MÜNCHEN 2023 will take place from 25 to 27 October under the motto "Intelligence". The media conference was launched in 1987. What began as a gathering of private broadcasting pioneers has evolved into a leading industry gathering in recent years. Today, with over 7,000 participants from Germany and abroad, several hundred accredited journalists, more than 400 speakers and more than 100 individual events, MEDIENTAGE MÜNCHEN is one of the pioneering events for the media and communications industry. The conference is organized by Medien.Bayern GmbH. MEDIENTAGE MÜNCHEN is supported by the Bavarian State Chancellery and the Bavarian Regulatory Authority for Commercial Broadcasting (BLM).
