For the first time, the largest international conference for journalistic research takes place in Germany. Investigative research, data journalism, cross-border cooperation and freedom of the press - more than 1,000 journalists from over 130 countries will discuss these and other topics in Hamburg from 25 to 29 September 2019.
The focus of the conference, which is geared to the research trade, is on the dissemination of techniques and methods of investigative journalism, data journalism and online research, nonprofit journalism and new financing models, cross-border research cooperation and exile journalism. The conference begins with an opening podium, where journalists from countries with limited freedom of the press report on the dangers and hurdles, but also on the successes of their valuable work.
