HBI founds "Methods Lab"

HBI founds "Methods Lab"

In the recently founded Media Research Methods Lab (MRML), the HBI bundles its methodological expertise in one organisational unit. What is new is the combination of established social science methods with novel digital procedures.

The HBI is pleased to welcome Dr. Gregor Wiedemann, who holds a doctorate in computer science, to work at this laboratory. He is a researcher in the field of computational social science with a focus on the development of methods and applications of natural language processing and text mining for empirical social and media research. Together with Dr. Sascha Hölig, he will head the MRLM.
