Following a two-year pandemic break, the Media Law Summer School, co-organised by the HBI, will take place again in Delhi, India, from 20 to 26 March. In addition to Director
Wolfgang Schulz, HBI research assistants
Vincent Hofmann and
Christian Ollig will be taking part. This year's topic is "Platform Governance".
The Summer School brings together students and teachers from Germany, India, and Brazil for an intensive week of lectures, discussions and interactive learning tasks. Participants will learn from leading experts and present their own research topics. The programme includes lectures on topics such as "Facebook Oversight Board", "Content Moderation & Inauthentic Behaviour" or "Platform Transparency". The academic programme runs from 20 to 26 March 2023 and is accompanied by various excursions.
The Summer School is organised by the Leibniz Institute for Media Research | Hans-Bredow-Institut (HBI) and the
Faculty of Law of the University of Hamburg (UNESCO Chair on Freedom of Communication), the
CCG in Delhi, the
Global Network of Internet & Society Research Centers and the
Institute for Technology & Society of Rio de Janeiro (ITS Rio).
