JF:TEC at a Working Meeting at the HBI

The Junges Forum: Technikwissenschaften JF:TEC met on 23 May 2019 for a first workshop at the Leibniz Institute for Media Research | Hans-Bredow-Institut. The programme included the discussion of disciplinary perspectives on the topic of decisions, the presentation of current projects, publications and research objectives as well as the discussion of internal organisational matters. In the second part of the meeting, the JF:TEC visited Google Germany in Hamburg and had a discussion about algorithmic decisions. Afterwards the creative offices of the company were visited. The Junges Forum: Technikwissenschaften (JF:TEC) is an interdisciplinary network of young scientists working on solutions for the challenges of current and future technology development and design. In various working groups, social, political and legal philosophical aspects of technological development are analysed based on long-term project work in order to stimulate and contribute to social participation. The JF:TEC addresses a number of shortcomings in the scientific landscape. More about JF:TEC
