Atilla-Filipe Cevik is doing his PhD on Online News Consumption and Online News Platforms at the Free University Berlin. In addition, he works on data analysis as member of the audience development team at ZEIT Online.
Atilla-Filipe holds an MSc from the Oxford Internet Institute (OII), University of Oxford, and an MSc in “Politics and Communications” from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Before, he did his undergraduate in political science at the University of Heidelberg. Recently, his research on algorithmic curation of Axel Springer’s and Samsung’s news app “Upday” was awarded the Microsoft Research Prize in Data and Society. He is also scholar at the Rudolf-Augstein-Foundation.
