Matthias K. Klatt has been a research assistant at the Chair of Media Law and Public Law, including its theoretical foundations, of Prof. Dr. Wolfang Schulz
at Universität Hamburg since November 2018. He now supports research and teaching and assumes the coordination function with the Leibniz Institute for Media Research | Hans-Bredow-Institut (HBI).
Matthias K. Klatt studied law at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität in Fribourg until summer 2017, specializing in European and international law. During this time, he completed internships at the Bundestag and the European Department of the Federal Ministry of Finance in Berlin. He then gained his first professional experience in an American law firm in the field of antitrust law.
In his PhD thesis, Matthias K. Klatt dealed with the dissenting opinions of judges of the German Federal Constitutional Court. He successfully defended his dissertation in August 2021. The thesis "Das Sondervotum beim Bundesverfassungsgericht"
will be published by Mohr Siebeck in spring 2022.
