Mattes Ruckdeschel has been working as a Junior Researcher in the project\u00a0“A Framework for Argument Mining and Evaluation (FAME)<\/a>”\u00a0at the Leibniz-Institute for Media Research | Hans-Bredow-Institut (HBI) under the supervision of\u00a0Dr. Gregor Wiedemann<\/a>\u00a0since June 2021.<\/p>\n

Mattes studied Computer Science and Engineering at the Technical University Hamburg. He wrote his master thesis at the Language Technology Group of Universit\u00e4t Hamburg (Prof. Chris Biemann) in collaboration with the German news organization DER SPIEGEL. During his studies, he also worked at DER SPIEGEL as a software engineer on open source software for investigative journalism.<\/p>\n
