The theme of this year’s Weizenbaum Conference is \u201cEmpowering People in Online Spaces: Democracy and Well-Being in Digital Societies.\u201d Several HBI researchers will contribute to the conference. The conference will be held in English.<\/p>\n

Panel 1 | Session 1: Governance and Regulation (1:00\u20132:30 p.m.)<\/h2>\n

Dr. Stephan Dreyer<\/a> will shed light on the challenges in the tension between platform regulation and children’s rights in his presentation \u201cProtection of Minors as a Disservice: Platforms, Due Diligence, and the Privatization of Children’s Rights.\u201d<\/p>\n

Panel 1 | Session 3: Gen AI & Algorithmic Impact (1:00\u20132:30 p.m.)<\/h2>\n

Together with Dr. Kiran Kappeler (University of Copenhagen), Michael V. Reiss<\/a> and Prof. Dr. Judith M\u00f6ller<\/a> will present their study \u201cMeasuring Generative AI Knowledge: A Comparative Study of Self-Assessment, Conceptual Understanding, and Factual Knowledge\u201d on the assessment of AI competencies.<\/p>\n

Panel 2 | Session 6: Protecting and Building Identities (3:00\u20134:30 p.m.)<\/h2>\n
