With the intensive use of AI systems comes an urgent question: How can AI be used to benefit people without harming them? Who will explain to the public how these technologies work, what values they embody, and what power they possess?<\/p>\n<p>In the conference series Reporting the Machines, ProPublica brings together journalists, scientists, civil society and political experts, AI developers, and startup founders.
