As one of 31 doctoral graduates from 687 submissions, Dr. Christian Ollig<\/a> has been nominated for the German Study Prize awarded by the K\u00f6rber Foundation<\/a>. On 2 July 2025, he presented his work in the final round in Berlin.<\/p>\n

In his doctoral thesis on media law, \u201cEU Platform Regulation: Global Gold Standard for the Protection of Fundamental Rights in the Digital Age?\u201d, Christian Ollig examined who sets the standards for public communication in the digital space.<\/p>\n

He developed an innovative understanding, arguing that platform companies are directly bound by the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union via a reference in the Digital Services Act (DSA).
