In fact, filter bubbles have only been scientifically proven to exist for a very small portion of the population.<\/p>\n<p>A filter bubble is said to ensure that we only see information and content on the internet that corresponds to our interests and beliefs. Therefore, the filter bubble is used to explain many social problems, such as political radicalization, social division, and democratic fatigue.<\/p>\n<p>Host Martin Bregenzer and Stephan Dreyer discuss why we need to burst the filter bubble.
