In: <em><span lang=\"de\">Kinder- und Jugendschutz in Wissenschaft und Praxis<\/span> (KJug)<\/em> [Child and Youth Protection in Science and Practice], 3\/2026, pp. 113\u2013116.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/leibniz-hbi.de\/en\/employee\/claudia-lampert\/\">Dr. Claudia Lampert<\/a>&#8216;s article explores how children and adolescents in Europe perceive social media and potential bans. For instance, recent findings from the <a href=\"https:\/\/leibniz-hbi.de\/en\/hbi-projects\/eu-kids-online\/\">EU Kids Online<\/a> research consortium suggest that a ban would limit essential features and opportunities for participation without necessarily enhancing their sense of safety (<a href=\"https:\/\/researchonline.lse.ac.uk\/id\/eprint\/138705\/\">Staksrud et al., 2026<\/a>).
