A new Nomos Handbook, edited by Thomas Hanitzsch, Wiebke Loosen<\/a> and Annika Sehl, offers an insight into the diversity of research on journalism in its social context. It looks, among other things, at actors, organisations and institutions, as well as at news, how it is produced and how it is used. The volume reflects the thematic, theoretical and methodological diversity of research.<\/p>\n

Written by acknowledged experts in their respective fields, each chapter outlines the state of research in a core area of journalism research, provides a critical classification and identifies aspects for future research. In doing so, the handbook contributes to the professional identity of journalism research and develops an agenda for future research projects.<\/p>\n
