The articles in the 2\/2026 issue of M&K examine the understanding of the roles and transformation potential of peripheral actors in the DACH region (Folker Hanusch \/ Filip Dingerkus \/ Anna von Garmissen \/ Kim L\u00f6hmann \/ Wiebke Loosen \/ Raoul Mitterstainer \/ Andreas A. Riedl \/ Vinzenz Wyss) as well as developments in sports coverage in German daily newspapers from 2011 to 2021 (Christof Seeger \/ J\u00f6rg-Uwe Nieland \/ Thomas Horky). Anastasia Glawatzki and Paula Jung also examined the usage practices of ChatGPT and the attribution of anthropomorphic roles.
