Mattes Ruckdeschel has been working as a Junior Researcher in the project “A Framework for Argument Mining and Evaluation (FAME)” at the Leibniz-Institute for Media Research | Hans-Bredow-Institut (HBI) under the supervision of Dr. Gregor Wiedemann since June 2021.
Mattes studied Computer Science and Engineering at the Technical University Hamburg. He wrote his master thesis at the Language Technology Group of Universität Hamburg (Prof. Chris Biemann) in collaboration with the German news organization DER SPIEGEL. During his studies, he also worked at DER SPIEGEL as a software engineer on open source software for investigative journalism.
After completing his studies, Mattes worked as a research assistant in the Language Technology Group on the further development of the open source software new/s/leak.
