Christian Ollig, LL.M., Maître en Droit

Research Assistant at the Chair of Prof. Schulz

Christian Ollig has been working as a research assistant at the Chair of Media Law and Public Law including its Legal Theoretical Foundations at the Law Faculty of Universität Hamburg since October 2021. He supports Prof. Dr. Schulz in research and teaching and coordinates the work between Universität Hamburg and the Leibniz Institute for Media Research | Hans-Bredow-Institut.

Christian Ollig studied law at the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, the Université de Cergy-Pontoise and received his title Master of Laws LL.M. at the College of Europe in Bruges. His studies were supported by the German National Academic Foundation, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the Franco-German University.

He gained practical experience at the European Parliament, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Düsseldorf (public commercial law), Taylor Wessing in Berlin (IT and media law), Clifford Chance in Düsseldorf and Jeantet in Paris (both corporate law).

His research focuses on European media law, constitutional law and comparative law.
