Kristina Hein has been Administrative Director of the Leibniz Institute for Media Research | Hans-Bredow-Institut (HBI) since October 2015.
She studied International Business Administration at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder) and at the Université Paul Verlaine in Metz and has a broad range of experience in the administration of non-university research institutions of the Helmholtz Association of German Research Centres (HGF).
Before joining the Leibniz Institute for Media Research | Hans-Bredow-Institut (HBI), she headed the third-party funding division of the Helmholtz Munich – German Research Centre for Environmental Health.
Prior to this she worked in the fields of project management and controlling at Helmholtz Munich as well as at the DLR – German Aerospace Centre.
