Louise Sprengelmeyer, B. A., has been a junior researcher at the Leibniz Institute for Media Research | Hans-Bredow-Institut (HBI) since August 2019. She works in research program 1 “Transformation of Public Communication: Journalistic and Intermediary Functions in the Process of Opinion Formation”. She is particularly focused on the changing relationship between journalism and the public.
Previously, she worked at the HBI as a student assistant to Prof. Dr. Wiebke Loosen.
Louise Sprengelmeyer studied journalism and communication science in Hamburg. During her studies, she also worked as a student assistant with Prof. Dr. Michael Brüggemann at Universität Hamburg.
Her research interests lie in the transformation of journalism in times of profound mediatisation and datafication.
