Moritz Wiechert joined the Leibniz Institute for Media Research | Hans-Bredow-Institut (HBI) as a junior researcher in January 2025. As part of the DFG-funded research group “Communicative AI (ComAI) – The Automation of Societal Communication“, he is working on the project “The Juridification of Communicative AI”.
His main interest is on the algorithmic distribution of (AI-generated) content.
Moritz Wiechert studied law at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg, specializing in European and international law. During his studies, he worked on the constitutional law handbook “Writing Constitutions”.
After his first state examination, he worked in two law firms as a research assistant in the fields of European competition law and IT law.
