For the Leibniz Association and t-online’s “Ten Questions, One Expert — The Science Quiz” series, Prof. Dr. Matthias C. Kettemann developed a quiz addressing the key question, “How does the U.S. media landscape differ from that in Germany?”
On the one hand, it addresses fundamental issues such as which fundamental rights apply on the internet, what functions the media fulfills for democracy, and how many children between the ages of 6 and 13 use the internet every week.
On the other hand, it focuses on the comparison between Germany and the US. The quiz covers the special features of press freedom, the various forms of state control over media outlets, and the most significant differences between the German and American media landscapes.
