Katharina Mosene is a political scientist (M.A.) and has been working at the Leibniz Institute for Media Research | Hans-Bredow-Institut (HBI) since July 2019 in the area of research and event cooperations, especially in the context of the Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society and the Network of Centers. Her academic interests include intersectional feminist approaches in the fields of network policy, smart technologies, and internet governance. In addition to the context of digital violence, hate speech, and anti-feminism, she is working on traditional biases and ethical questions in the field of artificial intelligence.
In addition to her freelance work in the fields of cyber security, digital education, and critical media education, she is a founding member of netzforma* e.V. – Verein für feministische Netzpolitik [Association for Feminist Internet Politics] and part of the Spokesperson’s Council of the German Political Science Association‘s Section on Politics and Gender.
