Louise Oberhülsmann (she/her) has been a researcher at the Leibniz Institute for Media Research | Hans-Bredow-Institut (HBI) since August 2019. She works in Research Program 1 “Transformation of Public Communication – Journalistic and Intermediary Functions in the Process of Opinion Formation”. She is particularly interested in the changing journalism-audience relationship.
Her research interests are journalistic roles, representation, arts-based research, and (computational) social science. She is currently working on her PhD project “Interpretive Repertoires of Journalistic Roles: Past, Present, and Future Turns in Journalism Research”.
She has also been equal opportunities officer since March 2022, together with Katharina Mosene and Julia Prütz. The focus here is on topics such as intersectionality, diversity, and non-discrimination.
