Dr. Claudia Lampert will speak about the challenges of media education at this year’s Universe of Media Education. The one-and-a-half-day event is themed “Back to the Future: Media Education for Today’s Challenges.” Selina Wippler (Institute for New Media/Media Workshop Rostock) and Prof. Dr. Anke Grotlüschen (Universität Hamburg) will offer additional insights from their respective perspectives. Design thinking workshops on methods and concepts in media education will follow, as well as a closing session and discussion with politicians, practitioners, and members of the Hamburg administration.

The event “Zurück in die Zukunft – Medienpädagogik für die Herausforderungen von heute” [Back to the Future: Media Education for Today’s Challenges] of this year’s Universum der Medienbildung [Universe of Media Education] will be held in German.

Information

Every two years, the Universum der Medienbildung [Universe of Media Education] presents a diverse program of workshops, discussions, and exhibitions at a pop-up media center and conference. This event showcases Hamburg’s media education projects and stakeholders. The last event took place in May 2023. This year’s event is organized by Mediennetz Hamburg e.V., in cooperation with FUNDUS THEATER | Forschungstheater [Research Theater], and is funded by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training.
