She focuses on identifying biases in artificial intelligence and ethical issues surrounding the use of algorithms in business and society. She also researches solutions to combat digital violence, hate speech, and anti-feminism with the aim of enabling equal opportunities in the digital space.
Additionally, Katharina Mosene has been a research and event coordinator at the HBI since 2019, focusing primarily on research and event cooperation with the Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society (HIIG) and the Network of Centers. She is also the HBI’s equal opportunities officer.
