Tetyana Turiy (they/them) works as a junior researcher at the Social Media Observatory of the Research Institute Social Cohesion and the Media Research Methods Lab at the Leibniz Institute for Media Research | Hans-Bredow-Institut (HBI) since June 2026.
Tet’s research interests include fair and responsible artificial intelligence (AI), social media, and their interplay. In particular, they are interested in safe use of AI-based methods for the analysis of discussions and trends on social media, as well as the impact the continuous evolution of AI-tools has on social media.
They studied Computer Science for their Master’s degree and Information Systems for their Bachelor’s degree at the Technical University of Munich.
