Stella Mickeler García has been the Coordinator for Research Information and Scientific Controlling (evaluation management) since April 2021 and is head of the project “KUGEL-FIS: Accompanying the Introduction of the Research Information System”. She is involved in performance planning and the coordination of the annual Pact Monitoring Report and works on the ongoing optimization of scientific controlling.
Previously, Stella Mickeler García was a research assistant in the project “KUGEL-FIS” and prior to that a student assistant for several years in our research programme “Transformation of Public Communication” as well as in the Algorithmed Public Spheres collegium.
She studied political science in Hamburg and Istanbul and public economics, law and politics in Lüneburg. Her main research interests are resource governance, international relations and Latin American resource politics.
During her studies, she worked at the GIGA and now volunteers at Amnesty International in the field of “Human Rights and Indigenous Peoples”.
