Tetyana Turiy will participate in the 35th International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence (IJCAI-ECAI 2026) with a presentation and a poster in the Special Track on “Human-Centred AI”. Tet will present a study on discrimination in application processes through the use of artificial intelligence.
The study examines whether AI systems that automatically evaluate applications disadvantage individuals based on characteristics such as gender or origin. To accomplish this, the researchers developed a new testing method and demonstrated discriminatory decisions in all six examined language models. This new method proved particularly effective in identifying complex forms of discrimination.
