The 2026 Annual Conference of the Methods Division of the German Communication Association (DGPuK) will be held under the title Computational Opportunities and Challenges in the Measurement of Media Use and Media Effects. The conference will explore the new opportunities that digital behavioral data and computer-assisted methods offer for researching media use and effects. The conference will also address the methodological challenges associated with measuring and interpreting digital media use, ensuring the quality and validity of data, and responsibly using new research methods.
