Johannes Schmees is working at Leibniz-Institut für Medienforschung │ Hans-Bredow-Institut since June 2019 in the research programme “
Regulatory Structures and the Emergence of Rules in Online Spaces”. There, he is part of the team of the interdisciplinary project financed by the Volkswagen-Foundation “
Deciding About, By and Together with Algorithmic Decision Making Systems”.
Johannes Schmees studied law at the University of Heidelberg, the University of Geneva and the University of Münster with a focus on information, telecommunication and media law.
His interests lie especially in public media and constitutional law in context with artificial intelligence, with which he will also deal in his PhD thesis.
