Christian Pundt, M. A., studied German and Politics in Hamburg and Hannover. From 1998 to 2000, he worked for Prof. Knut Hickethier at German Research Foundation project "Das Fernsehen in den 90er Jahren [Television in the 90s]" at Universität Hamburg. Afterwards, he worked for the Hans-Bredow-Institut, in collaboration with Ralph Weiß, at the project "Privatheit im öffentlichen Raum [Privacy in the Public Sphere]". Subsequently, he received a PhD grant from Universität Hamburg for his thesis on "Fernsehen und soziokultureller Wandel: Öffentliche Diskurse über Fernsehen [Television and Sociocultural Change: Privacy in the Public Sphere]". His interests lie in the historical and current changes of television, the public, and culture. As of 2002, he is an associated researcher at the Hans-Bredow-Institut.
